Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanic to join our team at our Midstream branch.

Mechanic requirements: 

Requirements / Personal Attributes:

1. Presentable appearance and sober habits
2. Excellent timekeeping skills
3. No criminal record
4. Strong interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Ability to train co-workers
7. Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
8. A working understanding of electrical DBs and wiring
9. Experience with diagnostics equipment and ECU’s
10. Computer literate
11. Strong technical background.
12. Strong knowledge on reconning starters, alternators and all electrical components
13. Strong knowledge of ECU’s and key coding
14. Strong knowledge of programming ECU’s
15. Be able to work in a team environment.
16. Set high standards and well-defined realistic goals both personally and within the team
17. Should be able to carry out work in accordance with professional standards and have thorough knowledge in the field
18. Knowledge of Siphoning fuel from a car

Qualifications / Experience:

1. Trade test motor mechanic (red seal)
2. 5-7 years’ experience in diagnostics and fault finding
3. Valid driver’s license

 Duties:

1. Perform service, repair and maintenance on customer’s vehicles
2. Mechanical and Electronic Diagnostics
3. Maintain a safe and clean work environment
4. Order and source parts
5. Diagnosing and fault finding on ECU’s
6. Repairing all electrical components on a motor vehicle
7. Repairing wiring and ECU’s on a motor vehicle
8. Coding keys and programming ECU’s on a motor vehicle
9. Training apprentices and managing a team of technicians
