Two Sisters Die Same Day of burn wounds
REST IN PEACE: Nompumelelo Gumede and Antoinette Hill Gone Too Soon 😭Nompumelelo Gumede (21) has sadly passed away after a long fight for her life in ICU. Her sister, Antoinette Hill (23), also lost her life — both victims of a horrific act of violence.
💔The two young women from eMalahleni were set on fire in July. It’s alleged that Nompumelelo’s boyfriend — the father of her children — poured petrol on her and set her alight.
When Antoinette tried to help her, she too was caught in the flames. 🔥💔Both were rushed to hospital with severe burn injuries and placed in intensive care… but tragically, neither survived.
😭💔🚨 The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and has since been denied bail. He is facing serious charges — but the damage has already been done. Two innocent lives lost.Nompumelelo was a loving mother.
Antoinette was a brave sister who tried to save her. 🕊️🛑 How many more women must be buried before action is taken against gender-based violence?
