Position Purpose
The Sector Specific Trainee (SST) Programme provides students and recent graduates with practical workplace experience to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. This 12-month programme enhances employability through hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry-specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Task Execution:
- Assist in specific projects within a department or work-stream.
- Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
- Support administrative functions, including documentation and reporting.
Learning & Development:
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programmes.
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical insights.
- Engage in problem-solving activities to develop analytical skills.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and project progress.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Advantageous: TVET N6 qualification in Logistics or Transport.
- Youth aged 18–35 years.
