The Nedbank CA Trainee Programme is a three-year SAICA-accredited training programme designed to develop well-rounded Chartered Accountants of the future. Trainees rotate across various divisions within the bank, allowing them to tailor their experience to their career aspirations while building deep technical and professional competence.The programme goes beyond compliance with training regulations by encouraging innovation, leadership, and active participation in programme committees and transformation initiatives.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the CA Trainee role is to:Adhere to the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Training Regulations for the full duration of articlesDevelop strong technical, professional, and ethical competencies aligned to the CA of the Future framework
Key Responsibilities
- During the three-year training period, CA Trainees will:Rotate across different business units within Nedbank
- Manage deliverables within agreed turnaround times
- Proactively manage their own learning and development in line with SAICA requirements
- Participate in programme committees such as Marketing, Recruitment, and Social Committees
- Contribute to Nedbank’s culture and transformation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Qualification (Essential)
- Applicants must have completed one of the following:Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
- A SAICA-accredited undergraduate accounting qualification
Postgraduate Qualification (Essential)
- Applicants must have completed or be registered for:Honours in Accounting, or
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, or
- An equivalent qualification that grants access to SAICA’s Initial Test of Competence (ITC)
