Purpose of Job

The purpose of this role is to participate in and successfully complete the Learnership programme tailored for the designated field of expertise in chemical plant operations.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Apply emergency procedures effectively.
• Read, interpret, and implement task risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and conduct task risk assessments.
• Attend daily morning meetings to discuss work assignments.
• Support the business’s goals and vision by meeting deadlines.
• Provide adequate feedback to supervisors on work progress.
• Contribute to root cause analyses and provide feedback to RCA teams.
• Participate in risk assessments in line with legislation and company requirements to enhance safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and adhere to waste disposal procedures.

Formal Education

Applicants must possess a combined N3 Certificate, equivalent to Grade 12, which includes:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent with a pass in:
  • Technical Mathematics or Mathematics (SG/HG)
  • English or Business English (SG/HG)
  • Technical or Physical Science (SG/HG)
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
