The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (KZN DARD) invites suitably qualified South African graduates to apply for 75 Assistant Agricultural Practitioner positions on a three-year fixed-term contract.
Centres (KwaZulu-Natal Districts)
Successful candidates will be placed in one of the following districts:
- Zululand District
- King Cetshwayo District
- uMzinyathi DistrictuMkhanyakude District
- Amajuba District
- uMgungundlovu District
- ILembe Districtu
- Gu DistrictHarry Gwala District
- uThukela Districte
- Thekwini District
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must meet the following requirements:A three-year Diploma in Agriculture (NQF Level 6) or higher
- Compulsory registration with SACNASP
- A valid driver’s licence
- No prior work experience required
- Knowledge, Competencies and Skills
- Knowledge of agricultural extension methodology
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic reporting and public speaking skills
- Understanding of group dynamics
- Ability to work directly with farmers and communities
- Willingness to conduct physical farm and project visits
