What the Role Involves
This is an 18-month structured development programme designed to equip young professionals with the technical, leadership, and operational skills needed for senior roles within the Supply Chain function (packaging) of Heineken Beverages. Key features of the programme include:
- Rotations through supply chain support functions, with a strong focus on planning.
- Hands-on exposure to manufacturing and packaging operations, improvement projects, and real workplace challenges.
- “Stand-in” assignments where trainees temporarily assume specific roles to understand job responsibilities in depth.
- Mentoring and coaching from technical experts in respective fields.
- A learning journey tied to an Action Learning Project with tangible business deliverables.
At the end of this period, you should be able to step into leadership or specialized roles in packaging or related functions within the supply chain.
Eligibility & What Heineken Wants
To qualify, applicants must meet several criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be a recent graduate (2025) with a tertiary qualification (Degree or BTech), preferably in Engineering or another technical field. Degrees in disciplines aligned with packaging or manufacturing will be especially relevant.
- Possess strong academic results, solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate leadership potential, ability to work in diverse teams, and past performance that shows commitment and achievement.
- Be computer literate, adaptable, and able to function well in challenging environments.
