Aircraft Cleaner Job Vacancy At Fly Airlink- APPLY

An Aircraft Cleaner is responsible for thoroughly cleaning the interior and exterior of an aircraft between flights, including sanitizing seats, tray tables, and lavatories, vacuuming carpets, removing trash, and restocking supplies like safety cards and toiletries. This role requires adhering to strict safety regulations and tight schedules to ensure the comfort, safety, and overall passenger experience meet aviation standards. 

Requirements

• The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent N4.
• Experience within the cleaning/aviation environment.
• Safety hazard training.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Interior Cleaning:
  • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets and upholstery. 
  • Wiping down and sanitizing high-touch surfaces like armrests, tray tables, door handles, and seat belts. 
  • Cleaning and disinfecting lavatories, including restocking toiletries and paper products. 
  • Cleaning windows and overhead bins. 
• Trash Removal:
  • Collecting and properly disposing of all trash and debris left by passengers. 
• Restocking Supplies:
  • Replenishing seat pockets with items such as magazines and safety cards. 
  • Restocking amenities like tissues, soap, blankets, and pillows. 
• Exterior Cleaning:
  • Washing the exterior of the aircraft and polishing windows to ensure clear visibility. 
• Maintenance & Safety:
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate department. 
  • Following all safety guidelines, protocols, and procedures established by airlines and aviation authorities. 
  • Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively. 
• Lost & Found:
  • Checking the cabin for any items left behind by passengers.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for cleanliness and order is crucial. 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift objects.

• Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently as part of a ground crew. 
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as aircraft cleaning is a 24/7 operation.
